Nice to see you all.

Didn't realise you all know each other so well; I feel like I crashed a private party now.

Thank you again to the organisers.

I'm going to agree, I had no idea that everyone knew each other well, I felt, just like a complete stranger as well...
In fact, I still feel like a stranger every time I post on this forum, since I rarely post at all...I think I should change that...

In other thoughts, Material Contest, woo!!!

And- Wootness for that band we kinda formed, after, a couple of people left... Crap, forgot the band name...

Alright, I still need to hand out prizes for Magna Carta, RedStar and Rayala. I'll just keep GW active most of the time, and any of you can send me a whisper ingame. My ingame nick is Sanra Sprinkleworth.

Well, we'll see, I'm still not convinced there will be many people entering when the top prize is 5 plant fibers and 1 wood

Here's a concept for the material contest:

There are different divisions for different materials. When the contest starts you find out how much the materials are worth (that's going to fix the amounts rather than waiting until the end and having to come up with extras). The winner of each division gets an amount of that material equal to the cash value of every other division's prize. (Ecto division obviously gets very few, but for what it's worth, get's the same in value as the person who wins the bone division).

Each division represents a different aspect of Guild Wars. Bone would have a death or Halloween theme, wood might have a nature theme, steel or iron would focus on a war theme, and so on. So figure out of the whole list of materials, you only wanted to use 10 different kinds, and have possibly 10 themes. 10k worth of each material is a modest figure, but just an example. Best of each division gets that material. Starting out, people might think, "Ooh, ECTO! I want to draw one for that." But they should realize that every prize can potentially get them the same amount of ectos on a trade-in because they're all worth the same. For better odds of winning, people will branch out and produce an array of different themes for you.

You set some sort of common link, like it has to be this character in that armor. For even more fun, choose 12 materials and from the winners you can make your own personal calendar. Geez, this sounds like fun...I may try it sometime if no one else does.

Totally off the topic, but if a calender is in the running, bags I Miss December. >.>

Like those suggestions though, especially themed to the materials.

As long as there is a plant fiber section....
